the social bubble - is a burst coming?

Date March 29, 2008

ok let’s face it, the internet has become one big social bubble; you got your digg.com, your reddit, your myspace, your facebook, your twitters, your jaikus, your pownces etc, etc, etc just to name a few. when is it going to stop?

figure it this way, we the internet are standing around a huge, ginormus water cooler that is currently empty then the social networks acting as water begin to fill the cooler, then you add things like bebo, snapfoo, hi5, flickr on and on. how long before the leak starts or it just pops. alltogether. and after the leak and or explosion who will be left standing? this post makes no sense im sure. so i will boil it down to.

who will win the social networking wars?

    Hi Jay,

Let’s face it, this is a common comment that has already been said and I am not trying to be any more original here. I see all what you mentioned as tools, only tools. Some people have tool boxes in their garage or wherever, and have lots of them, some have a couple of handy tools they use at leisure, some are professionals and need to reassort constantly with the latest up-to-date to the trade, and so on. Just tools. If you go to a hardware store you can find loads of them, and then if you go to HD or any other huge home improvement warehouse you might feel like you are just gonna explode, well at least, that is what I would feel. I just have a set of handy screwdrivers and my beloved grandfather’s old hammer at home, and I survive.
